Basic functions
Learn how to perform basic operations and
use the main features of your device.
Turn the device on or off
To turn the device on,
1. Press and hold [ ].
2. Follow the onscreen instructions. Your
device will automatically connect to the
cellular network.
To turn off the device, repeat step 1 above.
Unlock the external keys
You can lock the keypad to prevent any
unwanted device operations from
accidentally pressing any of the keys. From
the Today screen, press and hold [
]. To
unlock the keys, tap
Unlock
→
Unlock
.
Disable wireless functions
By disabling your device’s wireless
functions, you can use non-network services
in areas where wireless devices are
prohibited, such as aeroplanes and
hospitals.
To disable wireless functions,
1. From the Today screen, tap
Start
→
Settings
.
2. On the
Connections
tab, tap
Wireless
Manager
→
Phone
.
Your device will show
on the Today
screen.
To enable wireless functions, repeat steps 1-
2 above.
