Turning on the Power and Selecting a 

Display Language

The first time you plug the power cord into an outlet, 
or after there has been an interruption in power, the 
display shows “SAMSUNG SO SIMPLE” At this 
point, you can select a language and weight system 
for the display. You can choose from English, French, 
Spanish and Portuguese and between pounds (LBS) 
or kilograms (KG). To do so,

Press Start immediately after plugging in your 
Microwave. The display shows “ENGLISH/
LBS”. If the display does not show “ENGLISH/
LBS”, you will need to unplug the Microwave 
and then plug it in again to change the 
language.

Press Start repeatedly to select the language 
and weight system you wish to use:

•  ENGLISH/LBS,
•  ENGLISH/KG,
•  FRENCH/KG,
•  SPANISH/LBS
•  SPANISH/KG
•  PORTUGUESE/KG.
If you continue to press Start, the settings will 
cycle in the order shown here.

  

  

  

When you have selected the language and weight 
system you want to use, press the Pause/Cancel 
button to end this procedure, or press Clock to set 
the clock.

Setting the Clock

Press the Clock button.  The display will 
show:

Use the number buttons to enter the 
current time. You must press at least three 
numbers to set the clock. If the current time 
is 5:00 enter, 5,0,0.

Press Clock again. A colon will appear, 
indicating that the time is set. 

If there is a power interruption, you will need 
to reset the clock.

You can check the current time while cooking 
is in progress by pressing the Clock button.

Using the Pause/Cancel Button

The Pause/Cancel button allows you to clear 
instructions you have entered. It also allows you to 
pause the oven’s cooking cycle, so that you can 
check the food.  

 To pause the oven during cooking: press 

Pause/Cancel once.  To restart, press Start.

 To stop cooking, erase instructions, and return 

the oven display to the time of day: press 
Pause/Cancel twice.

 To correct a mistake you have just entered: 

press Pause/Cancel once, then re-enter the 
instructions.

 To cancel a timer setting: press Pause/Cancel 

once.
