Some of the shooting modes are straightforward. For example, tap Auto to have the Camera app
handle as many decisions as possible, leaving you free to shoot, or tap Panorama when you need
to stitch together a sequence of photos into a panorama photo. Beauty Face helps you capture
portraits and improve their complexion and features at the expense of reality. Dual Camera mode
enables you to superimpose yourself (via the front camera) on the scene the back camera is
shooting. On the front camera, use Selfie mode for self-portraits of just yourself, or Wide Selfie
for self-portraits of you and others.
Other modes might need more explanation.
Shot & More mode is a group of modes that enables you to take a burst of photos and then pick
among them afterward. The submodes are Best Photo, Best Face, Drama Shot, Eraser, and
Panning Shot. When you tap the Shutter button in Shot & More mode, the Camera app takes a
burst of photos and displays a list of available submodes based on what you shoot. Best Photo
enables you to select which photos to keep from the burst; Best Face submode enables you to
select the best version of each person’s face in a group shot and merge them into a single photo;
Drama Shot enables you to capture the same moving object (say, a runner) in multiple shots that
you combine into a single shot featuring multiple instances of that object (such as the runner
passing you). Eraser enables you to remove unwanted objects, such as a lovable pet that’s photo-
bombing a group portrait. Panning Shot blurs the background to make the subject appear to be
moving faster.
Rear-Cam Selfie enables you to take self-portraits using the rear camera (which gives higher
resolution than the front camera). You can’t see what’s on the screen, but in Rear-Cam Selfie
