Errors and remedies
Check any faults in the appliance against the following table:
Fault
Possible cause
Remedy
The green indicator
light or the ring does
not light up when the
appliance is switched
on.
Main switch before appliance
not turned on.
Turn on main switch.
There is no power supply at all.
Inform electricity
company.
Mains fuse has tripped.
Have possible appliance faults checked
by an authorised Customer Service agent.
Reset mains fuse.
The appliance is
switched on but does
not heat up.
An energy optimization unit be
fore the appliance is not switch
ing on the heating.
Check the energy optimization unit.
The appliance is not
heating up and the in
dicator light or the
scale ring is not lit.
Safety temperature limiter has
tripped.
Allow the appliance to cool.
WARNING! Fire danger!
Do not switch the
safety temperature limiter back on until
the cause of the failure has been rectified.
Have Customer Service switch on the
safety temperature limiter and have the
appliance checked.
The pump is switched
on, but does not
provide cooking oil/fat.
There is insufficient cooking oil
or cooking fat in the container.
The pump sucks in air.
Fill the tank or container with cooking oil
or semi-liquid cooking fat.
Solid cooking fat was used. The
cooking fat has solidified in the
container.
Scoop the solidified cooking oil from the
container. Use cooking oil or semi-liquid
cooking fat!
The O-ring (round ring) on the
connector piece of the intake
tube is defective or has failed.
The pump sucks in air.
Install a new O-ring (round ring).
The pump does not
provide cooking oil/fat
even after running for
three minutes.
Pump vanes worn.
contact Customer Service.
If you cannot remedy the fault,

turn off the appliance and disconnect from the mains;

do not open housing but
−
contact Customer Service.
