Safety instructions
Use
Wear work clothing and shoes that are specifically designed for working on deep fat fryers when using
the appliance.
The appliance is only to be transported
−
while it is cooled off.
−
the frying-oil or frying-grease has been drained,
−
and if the container below is emptied.
Do not use the appliance as a storage or work surface.
The user alone is responsible for damage caused by use contrary to the intended use.
If the grease generates an excessive amount of smoke, shut off the energy source immediately! Ob-
serve the notes on page 51 in Chapter 7.2 “Recognising and fixing deep frying faults” and on page 54
in Chapter 10. “Troubleshooting”!
Please observe the stipulations and rules of the professional associations!
Pump option: Manual switching on and off of the pump, therefore supervise the pumping process and
switch off the pump when the filling level in the bowl has been reached. Important, there is no auto-
matic switching off when the bowl is overfilled!
Appliances on wheels must only be moved about if they have been emptied and cooled off.
If you cannot remedy malfunctions with the help of page 54 section 10. ”faults and remedies”, switch off
the appliance and notify customer service.
Risk of injury
During operation, there is a risk of burns from
−
hot frying-oil/frying-grease
−
hot fat splashes and
−
hot surfaces.
Careful when pulling out, sliding in or lifting out the filled container! The container must only be re-
moved if the frying-oil/frying-grease has cooled down sufficiently. Use appropriate care to avoid hot
frying-oil/frying-grease from spilling over and splattering!
Observe the following with dual-bowl-deep fat fryers! When the container must be emptied or refilled by
hand, allow only the content from one bowl to drain into the container!
If the contents of both bowls are drained into the container, the container will become too heavy to lift
manually!
Pump option: While the pump is running, the cap may not be unlocked nor the intake bowle and the
drain hose inserted into the cap.
Pump option: No cleaning solution or water may be pumped with the pump! Residual water may other-
wise remain in the pump and the drain hose! During operation, this may cause heavy splattering, foam-
ing and overflowing of the bowl and to grease explosions!
Do not let any liquids run into the cooking oil-grease.
If the deep frying-process is interrupted or ended, and there is still hot cooking-oil/-grease in the bowl,
the bowl must be covered with an appropriate lid. This will prevent persons from accidentally reaching
into the bowl, i.e. if they were to slip.
Risk of fire
If the minimum fill level is not reached, there is the risk of fire!
Therefore regularly check the level and add any shortfall of cooking-oil or -grease. Pay attention to the
marks showing minimum- and maximum-fill levels!
Do not use cooking-oil/-grease which has been soiled by food or spices. It can ignite even within the
temperatures set by the appliance and can froth over.
As a user of this appliance, you must learn where the site’s fuse box is located for the appliances you
operate. In case of a fire, you will be able to safely shut the appliance off.
