Description of the appliance
Operating principle
● The radiation heat body directly transmits the heat to the cookware. The main heat transmission
is carried out by the radiation transmission and less directly through the glass ceramic cooking
surface.
● The heating regulation is controlled using an energy regulator. The supply of heat is cycled. The
cycle sequence is visible due to the heating coil below the glass ceramic cooking surface. The
greater the setting, the longer the heating-up phase, detected by the heating coil being illumi
nated for a longer period.
● The cooking hobs are equipped with overheating protection. If the overheating protection is trig
gered, the heating automatically switches off. The heating automatically switches the heating on
again after sufficient cooling is attained. Switch off the cooking hob if there is a pot or pan on the
ceramic hob.
● The appliance is equipped with a fan. The fan runs as soon as the appliance is switched on.
Overheating inside the appliance may occur if the fan fails. In the event of overheating inside the
appliance, a bimetal thermostat shuts off the radiant heating element (troubleshooting by autho
rised customer service necessary).
