Appendix B: Connecting Your Device to a 

Computer for the First Time 

On some models, when you connect your device to a computer for the 

first time to perform an update or transfer files, a message prompts you 

to allow access. You must tap 

Allow

 to proceed. You will need to repeat 

this procedure the first time you connect your device to a different 

computer. 
1.

 

Connect your USB cable to the device and the computer. 

2.

 

The app will restart and the “Allow access” message will appear.
