Safety Rules for the Charger
• Do not use the charger outdoors or in wet/damp conditions as this
could cause electric shock.
• Do not use any attachment not recommended or sold by Sailrite, as
this may result in a risk of fire, electric shock or personal injury.
• Do not put excess strain on the cord or charger. Never use the cord
to carry the charger.
• Do not pull the charger cord when you’re disconnecting it from an
outlet. Instead, unplug it from the base of the plug nearest to the
outlet. This is because damage to the cord or the charger increases
the risk of electric shock.
• Make sure the charger cord is located in a safe area so that it will
not be stepped on, tripped over, come in contact with sharp edges,
moving parts or be subjected to damage or stress. This will reduce
the risk of injury and damage to the cord, which could result in
electric shock.
• Do not use an extension cord with the charger, as this could increase
the risk of fire or electric shock.
• Never use the charger if it has a damaged cord or plug, as this
could cause shorting and electric shock. If your charger is damaged,
please contact Sailrite for a replacement.
• Do not disassemble the charger yourself. If any repairs are needed,
please contact Sailrite. Incorrect reassembly could result in electric
shock or fire.
• Unplug the charger from any power source before attempting any
maintenance or cleaning. This will reduce the risk of electric shock.
• Disconnect the charger from the power supply when not in use.
This will reduce the risk of electric shock. It will also help to reduce
the risk of damage to the charger in the event of a power surge.
• Avoid touching the uninsulated (metal) portion of the charger or
lithium-ion battery as this could result in electric shock.
