1 Vehicle Identification Number (VIN)

Always quote the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN)
when communicating with your MG Authorised Repairer.
If the engine or transmission is involved, it may be required
to provide the identification numbers of these assemblies.
Vehicle Identification Location
VIN Location
• Stamped on a plate visible through the bottom left hand
corner of the windscreen;
• On the identification plate;
• On the floor under the front passenger seat;
• On the inner side of the tailgate visible by opening the
tailgate.
Note: The DLC of the vehicle is located above the
accelerator pedal, and the VIN information can be
read with the special scan tool of manufacturer.
Engine Number Location
Stamped on the front right of the cylinder block (View from
the front of the engine).
Transmission Number Location
On the surface of the transmission housing in the engine
compartment.
