Proxy mode use sample
When terminal is in proxy mode, then the administrator can control several functions of the
terminal, by using distant commands. For example, if it is required to take the backup of
terminal database, the administrator can activate proxy mode of the terminal and take a
backup. Once the backup is completed, the administrator can deactivate the proxy mode.
While in proxy mode, none of the actions can be performed using the terminal LCD touch
screen.
The snapshot below describes a typical exchange between the terminal and the distant system
for a basic access control by identification. One would see that the distant system is the master,
while the terminal is the slave.

Proxy mode activation
The administrator can enable the Proxy mode by using distant command. This is done through
a server connected to terminal using serial channel.
Please refer to MorphoAccess® 5G Series – Host System Interface Specifications: this
document explains the process of managing a terminal remotely using distant commands, at
length.
