Deploying Secure Update Wizard (Windows Only)
When to Deploy?
The Secure Update Wizard need to be deployed on a Windows-based cus-
tomer’s system only if you are planning to update Sentinel Keys remotely
and not using the Secure Update utility or API functions.
Where to Deploy
The Secure Update Wizard must be installed on the same system where the
Sentinel Key is attached. Hence, if your application is a stand-alone applica-
tion, the Secure Update Wizard must be installed on each workstation.
How to Deploy
For Shell-protected Applications
For Shell-protected applications, you need to copy the following files at the
location where your product executable resides.
■ UpdateWizard.exe : The Secure Update Wizard executable.
■
.cab : The compressed file for the template.
