Connecting the convection air channels
The inset fires are fitted with two warm air apertures, which allow the warm air to be directed to adjoining rooms.
You can connect the convection air
channels using 2 optional
connectors. Removing the 2 covers
on the top of the inset fire and then
screwing tight the 2 connectors is
sufficient.
So as to be able to direct the
convection air, the air control valve
must be fitted at the upper front of
the convection mantle.
Without any adjustments, 70% of
the warm air is directed to the
adjacent spaces. By breaking the
predestined plate of the air control
valve, the volume is reduced to
50%.
To reduce thermal losses it’s recommended to insulate the convection air channels. Also bear in mind that horizontal
channels and elbows slow down the heat flow rate.

What must I do in the event of a chimney fire?
We recommend that you take the following steps in the event of a chimney fire
1.
Close off the air supply.
2.
Call the fire brigade.
3.
Clear access routes to the cleaning openings (e.g. cellar and attic).
4.
Move all inflammable objects away from the chimney.
5.
When the appliance is put back into service, the chimney and the inset fire should be checked over by a specialist.
6.
This specialist should also investigate the cause of the chimney fire after and take any corrective measures.
SUGGESTION
If you let the fire burn for 10 minutes each day at maximum power, this allows combustion
products to be burnt off. This reduces the risk of any chimney fire and also helps keep the
window cleaner.
ATTENTION!
It is important that one of the 2 grills connected to the convection channels remains open at all times.
