Similar to the conveyor coil information on the Auxiliary IO screen, the Hydro IO screen shows the position of the
Front and Rear Auger Speed Control adjustment knobs in the Signal boxes. The screen also shows that in this
instance the Augers are turned off, as the Key Pad CMD box reads “OFF”. When the Augers On/Off switch is
turned on, the box will read “ON” and show the coil command and coil current. If the pump controls are working
accurately, the two values will be similar to each other. If there is a problem, the two values will be different,
indicating that the adjustment knob is trying to send a different speed setting than what the pump is actually
running at. If the position of the adjustment knob is changed quickly, the two values will change significantly for a
period of time until the actual speed of the auger is reached. This is due to the ramp settings. The ramp causes a
short delay in how fast the auger can accelerate or decelerate. This is a factory setting and cannot be changed.
The iMin and iMax values are the current range that the hydro coil should be operating between. Coil Cmd and
Coil Current values should both fall in this range. This range dictates the minimum and maximum speed that the
augers can rotate. Fail Safe iMax is a factory setting that dictates the amount of current that will be sent to each
hydro control coil in the event that the control system does not receive a speed from either of the augers. This
value is factory set and cannot be changed.
HIGH SPEED COIL
At the bottom of the screen, the High Speed Cleanout coil information is shown. As illustrated, High Speed
Cleanout Mode is off as indicated by the “OFF” in the CMD box. When High Speed Cleanout is on, the box will read
“ON” and also show the amount of current that is being sent to the coil. If the mixer is not shifting to High Speed
Cleanout Mode, but the diagnostics screen is showing that the switch is working, but the coil is getting no current,
the operator would check for loose or unplugged connections or broken wires to the coil.
AUXILIARY PRESSURES
The third part of the onboard diagnostics includes the Auxiliary Pressure screen (Figure 23). From the Home
Screen, press the Auxiliary Pressure icon to access the screen. This screen shows both Auxiliary 1 and Auxiliary 2
circuits. This screen can be helpful in determining if the proper pressure is being supplied to the valves to control
the door and conveyor functions. For example, if the operator moves the joystick to open the front door and the
door does not open the operator would check the Auxiliary IO Diagnostic Screen to determine if the switch was
functioning properly. If the switch was functioning properly, the operator would access the Auxiliary Pressures
screen to determine if the pumps had adequate pressure. In this example, the Auxiliary 2 Pressure would read 0
indicating that the pump was not creating pressure. The operator would then investigate if a suction hose was
pinched or broken, a line was disconnected, or if there was a pump failure.
This screen also shows conveyor speed and oil temperature for quick reference.
