1. Set meter to measure continuity and connect probes

2. With switch NOT pressed, measure 

no

continuity

3. With switch pressed, measure continuity

4. Make sure wires and connector are in good shape and wires don’t pull loose

Note: the switches are pressed when the steering arms are in the out position
