12 Decommissioning and disposal
12.1 Decommissioning
At decommissioning, comply with all the basic safety precautions
in section “Safety” on page 9.
Before starting to dismantle the wet separator, disconnect it from
the mains. The vacuum hose must be taken off and the wet
separator emptied and cleaned. The contents of the liquid
container must be disposed of in an environmentally
responsible way.
12.2 Disposal
1. Dismantle the wet separator into pieces conveniently sized
for transport.
2. Dismantle the wet separator into different separable materials.
3. Parts contaminated with hazardous substances must be
cleaned before disposal.
4. If parts contaminated with hazardous substances are sent
these must be clearly identified and labelled before dispatch.
Important
Disposal must be performed in an environmentally responsible
way, in accordance with national regulations and statutory
provisions.
