5.9 | AES Status
The audio signals in a SDI data stream are normally embedded as AES3
signals. The status monitor (
AES Status ) displays the status bytes of these
signals as plain text or as binary data. In addition to this it also displays a
range of signal status information, including Confi dence, Lock, Coding, Pa-
rity and activity, which is useful when you need to determine the word width
or identify defective bits in the data stream.
Factory presets using the Status monitor instrument:
• 8CH ATSC SDI STATUS
• 8CH EBU SDI STATUS
