Fade to : To move the balance at the end of the selection to
the left speaker, drag the slider up.
To move the balance at the end of the selection to the right
speaker, drag the slider down.
4 Click OK to apply your changes.
5 To preview your changes, use the playback controls ( Play, Stop,
Previous marker/track, Next marker/track ).
Tip: If you are not satisfied with the effect, click Fading &
Volume , and choose Reset Balance Envelope to undo your
changes.
To apply fading effects to the beginning and end of a
waveform:
1 Select the waveform region to which you want to apply the fade in
and fade out effect. For information on how to select the
waveform, see Selecting the waveform region to edit on page 19.
2 On the Clip Editor toolbar, click Fading & Volume and choose
Fade In and Out.
3 In the Fade In and Out dialog box, specify the length of the
fading effect in seconds.
For example, if you set the fade in/fade out time to five seconds,
the volume fades from zero to full volume in the first five seconds
of the waveform selection, and fades from full volume to zero in
the last five seconds of the selection.
To apply a fade in to a waveform:
1 Select the waveform region over which you want the volume to
fade from zero to full volume. For information on how to select the
waveform, see Selecting the waveform region to edit on page 19.
