Tab. 4-1 Resistance values for evaluating the EXT signal
4.5.9 External requirement request (EBA)
By connecting the EBA switching contact to the ROTEX HPSU
monobloc compact (fig. 4-31) and corresponding parameterisa-
tion in its RoCon mb controller, an external switching contact can
be used to generate a heat request. If the switching contact is
closed, the ROTEX HPSU monobloc compact switches to heat-
ing mode. The feed temperature is regulated to the temperature
set in the parameter [T-Flow Day].
The EBA switching contact has priority over a request from the
room thermostat.
The switching contact is not evaluated in cooling mode, Stand-
by, manual or summer mode. The heating limits are also ignored.
4.5.10 Connecting an electric ROTEX backup heater
(BUxx)
Ɣ
Connect the power supply for the backup heater at terminal
strip X1 of printed circuit board RTX-EHS (fig. 4-19) in the
ROTEX HPSU monobloc compact controller housing.
Ɣ
Insert connector XBUH1 of the backup heater at the rear of
the ROTEX HPSU monobloc compact controller housing.
Ɣ
Set parameter [Function Heating Rod] to "1" (see RoCon mb
controller operating instructions).

INFORMATION FOR CONNECTION OF A ROTEX
SOLAR SYSTEM
The
[HZU]
function integrated in the RoCon mb controller (see
the operating instructions for the controller) makes it unneces-
sary to connect the EXT connection to the burner blocking con-
tact connection of the ROTEX solar system.

A separate manual containing instructions about instal-
lation and operation is included with this component.
