Faults and
malfunctions
10.1 Detecting faults
The electronic control detects, saves and displays faults:
– an error detected by the ROTEX ALPHA
+
23R with an error code on the display (explanation of the error codes see
chapter 10.3).
Displaying faults
When a fault occurs, the control's display alternates between showing an "E" and a number on the left, and a fault code on the
right.
Reading the fault memory
If multiple faults occur, the integrated fault memory saves the last 10 faults that are still present. These faults can be read via
the info values. You can reach them as follows:
1.
Set the "Default settings" rotary switch to position
.
2.
Using the
and
keys to navigate to the info value E1 (Table 6-5, page 41 and Table 6-6, page 42).
Î
The display alternates between an "E" with a number on the left, and a fault code on the right.
3.
You can display the ten last error codes using the
and
keys (explanation of the error codes see Table 10-1).
4.
Exit system information by setting the "Default settings" rotary switch to a different position.
10.2 Troubleshooting
• Find and resolve the cause of the malfunction. If you cannot ascertain the cause of the malfunction, contact ROTEX
Technical Customer Services.
10.2.1 Individual reset
• Press the
key on the control and hold it down for longer than 3 s to reset the fault. If a malfunction reoccurs following
this reset, the heating system must be checked by a heating expert (e. g. flue system, fuel supply).
10.2.2 General reset
The AIpha controller allows to reset the controller to the factory defaults (procedure see Chapter 6.6.3, page 45).
If a malfunction re-occurs after that, the heating system must be inspected by a technician.
