Water connection for heating and hot water pipes
The connectors of the ROTEX ESU are located on the upper rear side of the unit or on the lower front side (optional Solaris-return
flow). The heating circuit and storage tank charging share the same flow and return flow. The heating circuit for the storage tank
charging is integrated at the factory and must not be connected separately. The chalk that probably falls out during water heating
is rinsed from the stainless steel corrugated pipe-heat exchanger by the warm water. See Chapter 8.1, page 53 for important
information on the hydraulic connection.

To avoid temperature losses by warm water circulation, ROTEX recommends the installation of gravity breaks
(
16 50 70
) or the siphoning (conducting the pipes straight downwards) of the potable water pipes.
The domestic water connections are ready for gravity brakes to be installed.
CAUTION!
If the ROTEX ESU is connected to a cold water input pipe or a heating system, in which steel pipes or radiators
or non diffusion-proof floor heating pipes are installed, slurry and chippings can enter the heat generator and
the heat exchangers and lead to clogging, local overheating, or corrosion damage.
• Rinse out the heat distribution network (in the existing heating system).
• Install a dirt filter in the heating return flow.
