Connections
Connect the GC-02 Base Unit to the power using the DC
adaptor included with the unit. Attach the adaptor using the
power socket at the back right-hand side of the unit. The unit's
LED lights orange when the unit is connected to a power
source.
Connect the unit to a computer via the RS-232 Female D-9
type socket at the back left-hand side of the unit.
To mount the unit on a wall, swivel the connectors so they are
facing downwards. The mounting holes are at the back of the
unit, covered by two small labels.

Uploading
To charge a GC-01 Reader or to upload information from the
Reader to the computer, place the Reader in the docking bay
with its reader head down. The unit's LED lights red when a
Reader is charging and green when the Reader is fully
charged. When there is no reader in the docking bay, the LED
lights orange.
In order to ensure the long life of the Reader's battery, do not
remove it from the charger until the LED has turned green.
Use the iButton on the side of the unit for registering event tags,
location tags, and user tags to the computer.
Attach the unit to a GC-50 to connect to a remote computer
over a telephone line. Please refer to the "GC-50 Remote
Station Installation Guide" for more information.
