Aux Buses
Synergy Q/MD has a total of 48 “timed” Aux Buses, with each having access to all 48 possible inputs
of the crosspoint matrix. Outputs for each reside on the
Output Board (4800A-064), and are
configured through the menu system. Refer to the section “ Aux Bus Setup ” on page 11-2 for more
information.
Reference and PLL
The Synergy Q/MD switcher uses a distributed clocking strategy. This means that each board that
processes video generates its own clock source, ensuring high-quality, low-jitter timing within the
system. A pair of oscillators are used on each module to ensure optimal performance in each video

Synergy Q/MD switchers have 16 output BNCs so not all Aux Buses
can be assigned to outputs simultaneously.
