Synergy Q/MD Engineering Manual (v9.1 MD)

Saving Configurations

Once all of your

 

switcher assignments and configurations have been completed, it is strongly 

recommended that you save these setups. The installation procedure covers three categories of 
registers — 

Custom Control

, 

Personality

, and 

Installation

. As a result, all three categories should 

be stored.

Switcher files such as memories, custom controls, personality settings, VTR clip registers, installation 
settings and Squeeze & Tease sequences are stored in switcher setups. Each setup can contain a 
complete set of these switcher files that you can use to quickly store and recall different switcher 
configurations. Individual setups can also be stored on an external computer. Refer to the section 
“

Backing Up Setups to an External Computer

” on page 6–19 for more information.

Use the following procedure to save your setup configurations:

1. Navigate to the

3. Select the storage device that you want to use to store the files as follows:

 — This option will allow you to store the files on the internal hard 

drive.

USB

 — This option will allow you to store the files on a USB key inserted into 

the control panel USB port.

Use  the

 knob to select a 

Setup

, or location, for the storage of the files.
