15. Use the Positioner to place the Fly Key pattern as follows:
• Move the
Positioner
horizontally to move the Fly Key left or right.
• Move the
Positioner
vertically to move the Fly Key up or down.
• Twist the
Positioner
clockwise or counter-clockwise to zoom the Fly Key in or
out.
This completes the procedure to Fly a Circle pattern. This same procedure can be used to fly any
pattern from the
Pattern Control Group .
Bordering Keys
The Key Border function allows you to place borders, shadows and outlines around any key type on
the switcher. The Dual Border Generator option must be installed. The border buttons will not light
if the option is not installed in an MLE.
The following figures show samples of the three types of borders that can be created by the Dual
Border Generator :
• Press BORD to add a border behind the selected key type. The border can surround the
key, or it can appear as detached shadow that can be offset to any distance and direction.
Border width, color and transparency are all adjustable. If the
Ghost function is enabled,
the key fill is turned off
• Press SHDW to add a drop shadow behind the selected key type. The shadow is
connected to the key signal, instead of being detached. Shadow width, color and
transparency are all adjustable. If the Ghost function is enabled, the key fill is turned off.
• Press OUTL to add an outline around the selected key type, with variable width, color
and transparency. With OUTL selected, the key fill is completely transparent.
• Press BORD OFF to turn off any selected border type.
Use the following procedure to border a key:
1. Ensure that the Dual Border Generator option is installed in the selected MLE.
Note Notice that as you move the Fly Key around, the Key video does not
change, as it did when you positioned the Key pattern.
