5. If the
FLY KEY
button lights up, press it once to
disable
the Fly Key mode. The
Preset
Pattern Key Setup Menu
is displayed on the display.
Preset Pattern Key Setup Menu
In the menu’s main area, the menu lists the two individual
Key Fill
and
Key Alpha
sources, plus the
location
of the selected keyer. Note that if you are using
Key 1
,
Wipe
Gen 1
will be selected automatically. If you are using
Key 2
,
Wipe Gen 2
will be
selected automatically.
6. In the
Pattern Control Group
, select the desired wipe pattern.
7. In the
Pattern Control Group
, adjust wipe parameters such as
ASPECT
,
BORDER
,
SOFT
,
ROTATION
,
NORM
and
REV
.
8. Adjust the key’s clip and gain in one of two places:
•
Use the top
CLIP
knob in the
Effects Control Group
to adjust clip level.
•
Use the middle
GAIN
knob in the
Effects Control Group
to adjust gain.
9. If desired, you can toggle the
Key Over
button between

and

to change the
priority of the two keyers:

, setting it
over
(visually on top of)

Key
Modifier Sections 1
and
2
. Modifiers include
KEY INV
,
MASK
,
FLY KEY
(see
important note below),
POSITIONER
, and Border Effects.
The
MATTE FILL
function is not available for Preset Pattern keys. Refer to the section
Note
For convenience when adjusting preset patterns, the
SOFT
knob in the
Pattern Control Group
duplicates
the function of the
GAIN
knob in
the
Effects Control Group
.
Important
The
FLY KEY
function can be regarded as a modifier, but it is
important to note that it creates a
different type
of key when used in
conjunction with preset patterns. When
FLY KEY
is enabled, the
system creates a
bordered box
around the selected pattern — which
can then be manipulated in 2D space. Special
Fly Key
modifiers are
enabled (such as size, position, mirror, and crop), but
Preset Pattern
modifiers (clip, gain, aspect, border, and soft) are disabled. Refer to the
section “
” on page 7–51 for additional information.
