9. Adjust the Auto Chroma Key feature for a selected color as follows:
• Press
Auto Chroma Key
to display the Auto Chroma Key Menu . Note that the
Grab Chroma Value
softkey now is available on the menu.
Chroma Key Setup Menu - Auto Chroma Key
• Use the
Horizontal
knob, or move the
Positioner
left and right , to control the
horizontal position of the crosshairs on screen.
• Use the Vertical knob, or move the Positioner up and down , to control the
vertical position of the crosshairs on screen.
• Position the crosshairs on top of the color that is to be eliminated.
• Press
Grab Chroma Value
.
When the Auto Chroma Key softkey is pressed several changes take place on the
switcher.
• Sets of crosshairs appear on the Preview output of the switcher.
• The Preview Bus group automatically changes and selects the MLE on which the
key is being performed.
• The crosspoint on the PST Bus of the affected MLE changes to the video source
that is being keyed.
• The three buttons in the Next Transition area may change, depending on what is
currently on air.
All of these changes occur to enable a clear view of the key source on the Preview
output. Once the Auto Chroma Key has been set up (the
Grab Chroma Value
softkey
has been pressed) or abandoned (by either selecting another Chroma Key Setup Menu
softkey or leaving the menu), the Preview Bus , PST Bus and Next Transition area are
restored to the previous state.
10. Select and adjust additional key modifiers as desired, using the controls in Key
Modifier Sections 1 and 2 . Refer to the section “ Using Key Modifiers ” on page 7–49
for details. Modifiers include:

MASK
• FLY KEY
• Border Effects
11. If desired, preview the key by pressing
KEY PV
