Synergy Series Operation Guide (v18)
Use the following procedure to copy an MLE Keyer to another MLE Keyer:
1. Press and
hold
any
Key Type
button in the
destination
MLE’s
Key 1
or
Key 2
group.
2. Press any
Key Type
button in the
source
MLE’s
Key 1
or
Key 2
group. This can be the
same
MLE or a
different
MLE.
3. Release both buttons.
This completes the procedure to copy an MLE Keyer to another MLE Keyer.
Key Copy Methods
The following list summarizes the “
Key Copy
” methods:
•
MLE to MLE
(
method one as outlined above
)
Press and
hold
any
Key Type
button in the
destination
keyer. Then press any
Key Type
button in the
source
keyer. Release both buttons. This function works in the same, or in
different MLEs.

MLE to MLE
(
alternate method
)
Press and
hold
the
KEY 1
or
KEY 2
button in the
destination
MLE Transition Group
.
Then press
KEY 1
or
KEY 2
in the
source
MLE Transition Group
. Release both
buttons. This function only works in different MLEs.
•
DSK to MLE
Press and
hold
any
Key Type
button in the
destination
keyer. Then press any
DSK
Crosspoint
in the
source
DSK. Release both buttons.
•
MLE to DSK
Press and
hold
the
DSK 1
or
DSK 2
button in the
Program/Preset Transition Group
.
Then press
KEY 1
or
KEY 2
in the
source
MLE Transition Group
. Release both
buttons.
•
DSK to DSK
Press and
hold
the
DSK Crosspoint
in the
destination
DSK. Then press the
DSK
Crosspoint
in the
source
DSK. Release both buttons.
Copy Preset Pattern Key
The
Copy Preset Pattern Key
function allows you to copy a Preset Pattern key (and all associated
modifiers) from one channel to another channel in the
same
Keyer. You must have both channels free
in the selected Keyer before you can copy a Preset Pattern key.
Note
Use care with this method, because holding down a
DSK Crosspoint
and then pressing a
Key Type
button in an MLE changes the
programmed
DSK Crosspoint
key type.
Operating
Tip
If you mix modes, such as
Transition
buttons and
Key Type
buttons,
you get a
swap
.
If you use similar modes, such as
Transition
buttons and
Transition
buttons or
Key Type
buttons and
Key Type
buttons, you get a
copy
.
