overlay places Cross Hairs on the main preview output to indicate the
center of the picture, as displayed in the following figure:

• The CENTER overlay is useful for aligning text and other information (both
horizontally and vertically
Time Clock
The Time Clock overlay places a count-down, count-up, or count-down-then-up timer
on the main preview output. This overlay timer can used in the timing of commercials or
other events.
From the Time Clock Main Menu you can access the menus to modify the parameters
of the following functions:
• Start — to start the clock counting up from zero, (or down from the preset time).
When Start is pressed, the softkey label changes to Stop .
• Reset Time — to reset the clock to zero (for count-up mode), or to the preset time
(for count-down mode).
• Direction — the count-up, count-down, or count-down-then-up direction of the
clock.
• Transition — to start the count-up, count-down, or count-down-then-up clock
based on a switcher transition or a cut from source to source on one (or more)
MLEs.
• Position — to modify the position and size of the Time Clock display.
Modifying the Time Clock Parameters
Use the following procedures to modify the parameters of the Time Clock :
1. Navigate to the Time Clock Main Menu as follows:
