2. Press the desired crosspoint.
3. Release both buttons.
The
SHIFT
button plus the selected source both stay lit, as indicated in the following example:
Shifted Crosspoint Selected on PGM
Please note:
•
With a shifted source selected on a bus row, to take an
unshifted
source, simply press its
button.
•
With a shifted source selected, to take another shifted source, repeat the procedure
above.
•
If you press
SHIFT
and then decide
not
to select a source, simply release the
SHIFT
button. No change will occur on the bus.
PGM/Key SHIFT Mode
A special mode called
PGM/Key SHIFT
can be activated during switcher set up. Although primarily
designed for the Synergy 2 (with only 17 buttons per bus), activating the
PGM/Key SHIFT
mode
makes each MLE’s
Key Bus
shifted
all the time
(as its default state).
This effectively acts as a shift lock, giving you one-button access to the higher-numbered inputs on
each
Key Bus
(without having to press
SHIFT
each time to reach them).
If the
PGM/Key SHIFT
mode has been implemented, you may notice that the crosspoint labels on
each
KEY
bus will be
different
from each MLE’s
BKGD
and
PST
bus labels.
Please consult with your facility’s engineer to determine if the
PGM/Key SHIFT
mode is
implemented. Refer to the section, “
PGM/Key Shift Crosspoint Buses
” in the
Synergy Series
Installation Guide
for more information.
Bus Hold Mode
The
Bus Hold
button allows you to retain the currently selected video crosspoint on a bus during a
memory recall. If the
Bus Hold
button is assigned to a crosspoint, each bus BKGD (or PGM), PST,
Key 1, and Key 2, on all MLEs, can be held independently. Refer to the section, “
Setting Up Panel
Buttons
” in the
Synergy Series Installation Guide
for setup details.
If the
Bus Hold Clear
function has been enabled in the
Personality Menus
, you can turn off all the
Bus Holds by performing a soft reset (by pressing
ALL
+
ALL
). Refer to the section “
Bus Hold Clear
”
in the
Synergy Series Installation Guide
for setup details.
