Ultimatte Insider™ Board
The figure below illustrates the Ultimatte Insider Board — an option card for the Synergy 1 and
Synergy 100 switchers that is manufactured by Ultimatte Corporation.
Ultimatte Insider Board
The Ultimatte Insider Board accepts a single video input, via the Frame Processor Board , and
generates one processed video (foreground) and one alpha (or matte) output using the exclusive
Ultimatte process. When installed and properly configured, the “Ultimatte Key” is assigned to a
selected MLE keyer (on the Synergy 1 control panel) or Effects Keyer (on the Synergy 100 control
panel), replacing the Synergy’s standard chroma key.
• If you are using a Synergy 1 control panel, a complete array of user menus are fully
integrated with the option.
• If you are using a Synergy 100 control panel, several parameters can be modified by
using various knobs on the panel.
Refer to the Synergy Operation Guide for your panel type for operating instructions.
Using the matte signal of the Ultimatte in conjunction with a full linear mixer, the Synergy switcher
can composite any background video source with the processed foreground.
Note The following information is current as of Revision 1.03 of the
Ultimatte Insider Board .
Important
The Ultimatte
™
option is mutually exclusive with the Aspectizer
®
option. Only one of the two can be installed at any time.
Note
There are no DIP switches on the Ultimatte Insider Board .
