Synergy 1 Panel CPU Board Layout
The figure below illustrates a top view of the Synergy 1 Control Panel CPU Board (4216A-033).
Synergy 1 Control Panel CPU Board — Functional Blocks
The major functional blocks are described below:
1. Power Distribution Connectors
This area includes power distribution connectors and adjustment controls for most
circuit boards in the panel. Each board has its own dedicated power supply connection.
2. Microprocessor Control and Memory
This area includes the microprocessor control and the RAM and flash memory.
3. Ribbon Cables
This ribbon cable is routed to the floppy disk drive. To the left of the cable is the floppy
disk controller.
4. Standard Primary Tallies
This area provides connectors for the 16 standard tallies of the Synergy control panel.
5. Rear Panel Connectors
This area includes the rear panel connectors, as well as the associated interface
electronics. Refer to the the section, “
Synergy 1 Rear Panel Connectors ” on page 10–5
for details. Note that the maximum baud rate for each remote control port is 115,200 K
baud.
6. Socketed IC
One socketed IC is provided for the panel’s boot prom.
7. Display Controller
This area includes the display controller.
Note A USB controller replaces the floppy disk controller if the USB
Removable Media Drive option is installed.
