SECTION 5.0
MAINTENANCE
5.1 OVERVIEW
Maintenance consists of Preventative and Corrective
measures.
Preventative maintenance consists of periodic cleaning
of the analyzer and sensors.
Corrective maintenance includes the replacement of
parts that typically wear out.
5.2 PREVENTATIVE MAINTENANCE
5.2.1 Analyzer Maintenance
The Analyzer requires no maintenance other than an
occasional cleaning of the display screen or keypads.
To maintain the appearance and extend the life of the
enclosure, it should be cleaned on a regular basis using
a mild soap and water solution followed by a clean
water rinse.
5.2.2 Sensor Maintenance
As with any other type of in-line instrumentation, sensor
maintenance consists of checking the sensor
periodically and cleaning the electrode. A monthly
cleaning is a good initial maintenance schedule. This
schedule can then be fine tuned to the site process.
During these inspections, the following items should be
checked.
Cable and connections should be checked for
evidence of corrosion, wear, rubbing, or damage.
Inspect sensor body for physical damage, corrosion,
wear or signs of rubbing.
Check 2701 manual for conductivity sensor
identification, installation and cleaning instructions
Check the applicable pH/ORP sensor manual for
pH/ORP sensor installation and cleaning instructions.
