Section 5. Configuration/Operation
Temperature Element Positions
The temperature elements are numbered from the bottom of the tank and
upwards. Enter the position of each element, measured as the distance from
the Zero Level (Dipping Datum Plate) to the temperature element. If you use
average temperature elements, enter the position of the terminating level of
each sensor element.

Tank Average Temperature Calculation
You can exclude certain spot elements from the average temperature
calculation. This may be useful if, for example, the temperature close to the
surface or close to the bottom of the tank deviates significantly from the
temperature in the rest of the tank. This may also be accomplished by setting
an appropriate value for the Insert Distance parameter, see “Insert Distance”
on page 5-5.
NOTE!
A faulty temperature sensor will affect the temperature calculation. For more
information see “Ground Fault Detection” on page 6-5.
