Function “marinating”:
Appliance stops after a short
period and the pilot lamp

Trouble shooting
Appliances stops shortly after the “canister” or “marinating” function was started
• Check whether the connection hose is correctly inserted into the hose port of the appliance. Restart
by setting the function levers (1) to “OPEN” position, then open the cover (5) and press the “cancel”
button (2l).
Appliance not working
• Check whether cable or plug show damage. If yes – do not operate the appliance!
• Check the correct fitting of the wall plug. Check the socket by plugging in another appliance.
The appliance does not seal the first edge of the cut-off foil roll piece
• Check whether the edge to be sealed was positioned correctly (according to paragraph “Making bags
of foil rolls”).
Appliance does not create a complete vacuum inside the plastic bag
• For a correct sealing process the open end of the bag must completely extend into the vacuum chamber.
You can verify the correct position through the inspection window.
• Check the sealing bar as well as the sealing gaskets for dirt. Clean them and put them back into the
correct position.
• Check the plastic bag for holes.
The appliance does not seal the bag correctly
• In case of an insufficient sealing, press the button “sealing mode” (2M) and increase the sealing time.
• Should the sealing bar get too hot and the bag melt, open the cover and let the sealing bar cool down
for a few minutes.
• Check the gaskets for damage.
• This appliance is produced in compliance with current safety standards. In the event of overheating,
the appliance gets switched-off automatically. Leave it to cool down for 15 minutes before starting the
vacuum-sealing procedure again.
Bag loses its vacuum after sealing
• Wrinkles, crumbs, grease or humidity can cause leaky spots at the sealing seam. Reopen the bag, clean
the upper part of the bag inside as well as the sealing bar. Then seal again.
