insTrucTions For use
The Romberg heating mat combined with Romberg propagators gives
ideal conditions for successful plant propagation – especially for
sensitive plants requiring warmth. The PVC covered heating mat is
insulated and acid resistant. It is suitable for indoor propagators as
well as for terrariums.
The heating mat produces constant heat, and therefore the inside
temperature of the propagator should be controlled regularly. A
temperature regulation can be made by using the slides on top of the
cover or by taking off the cover for a little while. The heat supply can
be controlled by using a clock timer, if necessary. Ideal for the optimal
control is the Romberg thermostat.
important:
The heating mat should be placed under the propagator.
Relating to normal room temperature it provides an even temperature
distribution of 22 - 25 ° C (not if placed in a cold cellar or outdoor
greenhouse!). The heating mat is not designed to adjust extreme
temperature variations, because the inside propagator temperature is
influenced by the surrounding temperature. The propagator with heating
mat should be placed in a bright position i.e. a windowsill, because the
light influences plant gowth, too.
please notice:
• The heating mat should not be cut, folded or bent and you should not
drill holes in it.
• Do not use the heating mat under the following situations:
- When the PVC cover is broken, has cracks or deep scratches on it,
- When the power cable or the plug is damaged.
• Do not use the heating mat as a cushion for people or pets.
• When the heating mat is in use, do not cover it with textile or any
kind of heat sensitive material.
• The heating mat is not a toy – please keep it away from children.
• With sealed PVC cover the heating mat is spray water resistant, but
is not suitable for use under water (i.e. in an aquarium).
