About the New Format
Expansion boards SRX-01–04 could only hold a maximum of
128 Patches. In order to make it possible to provide an even
greater variety of sounds, a new format (implemented
originally on the SRX-05) is now being employed. This new
format is capable of handling more than 128 Patches.
If you are using one of the five models listed below, and are
still using an older version of the system, you may need to
upgrade its system to enable it to support the new SRX
format. Check the system program version of your
instrument; if your current version is the same as, or older
than the corresponding one listed below, use the system
update program on the included CD-ROM to upgrade to the
latest version before using the SRX-05.
• Fantom (FA-76): Update required for versions up to Ver. 1.12
• XV-5080:
Update required for versions up to Ver. 1.24
• XV-3080:
Update required for versions up to Ver. 1.08
• XV-88:
Update required for versions up to Ver. 1.07
• RD-700:
Update required for versions up to Ver. 1.04
* Although the XV-5050 has always been compatible with this
new format, the most recent program version, current as of
January, 2002, is included.
For instructions on checking the system program version for
each instrument, and upgrading the software, refer to the
text files for the relevant instrument included on the CD-
ROM.
About the Included CD-ROM
The included CD-ROM features:
• System update programs compatible with new-format
SRX expansion boards (for Fantom (FA-76), XV-5080,
XV-3080, XV-88, and RD-700)
* For the XV-5050, the system update program is that for the
version that is current as of January, 2002.
• SMF rhythm data exclusively for SRX-05 rhythm kits
• SRX-01–05 demo songs
For more detailed information on each file, refer to
Readme_E.txt on the CD-ROM.
* Take proper care of the included CD-ROM; it will not be
reissued.
* The system programs on the included CD-ROM are the latest
versions, as of January, 2002. For information regarding
newer versions than those on this disk, you should contact the
nearest Roland Service Center.
新フォーマットに関して
エクスパンション・ボード SRX-01 〜 04 は、最大 128
パッチを収録していました。SRX-05 以降は、より多彩な音
色をお客様に供給する為に、128 以上のパッチを扱えるよ
う、新フォーマットを採用しています。
これにより、以下の 5 機種において、現在お使いのバー
ジョンによっては、新フォーマットに対応するためにバー
ジョン・アップしていただく必要があります。システム・プ
ログラム・バージョンをご確認の上、下記のバージョン、も
しくはそれより古いバージョンの場合は、付属 CD-ROM に
収録のシステム・アップデート・プログラムを使用して、製
品をバージョン・アップしてから SRX-05 をお使いくださ
い。

Fantom（FA-76）： Ver1.12 まではアップデートが必要

XV-5080：
Ver1.24 まではアップデートが必要

XV-3080：
Ver1.08 まではアップデートが必要

※ XV-5050 は、当初より新フォーマットに対応していま
すが、2002 年 1 月時点での最新プログラムを収録して
います。

各機種別テキスト・ファイルを参照してください。
