Use Your Voice to Select the Tempo
(Vocal Tap Tempo) (KR-7)
Just as in “Tap Tempo Function” (p. 82), you can set tempos using your voice. This
feature is called “Vocal Tap Tempo.”

Press the [Metronome] button.

Touch <Vocal Tap>.

Count to four (“One, two, three, four”) into the mic.
The tempo is set to the beat you used speaking into the microphone. The new tempo
setting is indicated in the screen.
After setting the tempo, touch <Exit> and you’re returned to the Metronome screen.

Playing Back at a Fixed Tempo (Tempo Mute)
If a song has tempo changes, it helps to practice the song first at a steady tempo.
Overriding tempo changes is called “Tempo Muting.”

Hold down the [
(Play/Stop)] button and press one of the Tempo [-]
[+] buttons.
When tempo muting is in effect, the tempo display appears in reverse video.

When you play back the song, it will play at a constant tempo.
Cancel the tempo mute setting
1.
Hold down the [
(Play/Stop)] button and press one of the Tempo [-]
[+] buttons.
Tempo muting is canceled.
Tempo Mute will also be cancelled when you select a different song.
Vocal Tap Tempo does not
function well when the mic
volume is too low. Adjust the
volume level with the Mic
[Volume] knob.
You can start the song by
giving the count through the
microphone. For more detailed
