Display

The   Kiwi-SJX   display   provides
feedback and instructions that make
navigating   the   menu   easier.   On
normal play the display will show the
Patch number (G/B/T) followed by a
space followed by a 'U' or 'L' to show
which   voice   board   is   currently
selected and the patch name.

As   edits  are   made   with   the   PG-
800 will be made on the currently
selected voice board only and the
parameter   being   edited   will
display   along   with   the   GBT
location and the value.

Factory Presets

The factory patch and tone presets in
the   SJX   are   all   a   blank   patch   and
tone. To restore the factory Patches
and   tones   send   the   factory   sysex
dump to the SJX via midi. This can
be   supplied  by  Kiwitechnics   and   is
included with the update files.

The   SJX   supports   the   Roland
format   of   Patch   and   Tone   sysex
dumps.
A   number   of   other   formats   are
also supported and these include
Kiwi1000, Roland MKS-70/JX-10 &
Oberhiem M1000.

Midi Received

Midi data received will flash the Tone
Edit LED in the JX-10 and the Midi
Led in the MKS-70 if it is recognized
by the JX-10.

Midi Panic

The MIDI PANIC button will cancel
any sounding notes including any
pressed internal notes.

To stop all output from the JX-10
press and release MIDI PANIC. In
the MKS-70 the SHIFT button is
used.

Hold & Switch Inputs

These JX-10 pedal inputs are used
as Matrix Sources and can be sent
to any of the Matrix Destinations.

This option is not available in the
MKS-70 version as there are no
inputs on the MKS-70.

The Factory Tones have the
Hold Pedal mapped to the ENV
Release times which has the
same effect as a piano sustain
pedal.
