Figure 2-27: Noise information
Noise (System BW) Power
Displays the noise power on the downlink channel, i.e. within the cell bandwidth.
Remote command:
CONFigure:NIOT:SIGN<i>:FADing:POWer:NOISe?
Noise (Total BW) Power
Displays the total noise power, within and outside of the cell bandwidth.
The total noise power is irrelevant for 3GPP test cases. They specify the SNR or the
noise power within the cell bandwidth. The total noise power is only displayed for com-
patibility reasons with Rohde & Schwarz signal generators.
Remote command:
CONFigure:NIOT:SIGN<i>:FADing:POWer:NOISe:TOTal?
Noise (System BW) Power
Displays the total power ( noise) on the downlink channel, i.e. within the cell
bandwidth.
Remote command:

2.3.6.3
Fading Module AWGN
Access: "Config" hotkey > "Internal Fading" node > "Fading Module AWGN" section.
The node enables and configures the AWGN insertion via the fading module. For back-
ground information, see
Chapter 2.2.3.2, "AWGN Generator"
Figure 2-28: AWGN settings
For carrier aggregation scenarios, you can configure the settings per component car-
rier.
If you combine contiguous carrier aggregation with AWGN, we recommend the follow-
ing AWGN settings:
●
Enable AWGN for one carrier only.
