Mixer Level Offset
Varies the input level of the mixer in the analyzer path. A negative offset reduces the
mixer input level. A positive offset increases the level. Optimize the mixer input level
according to the properties of the uplink signal.

Advantages
Possible shortcomings
< 0 dB
Suppression of distortion (e.g. of the inter-
modulation products generated in the
mixer)
Lower dynamic range (due to smaller sig-
nal-to-noise ratio)
> 0 dB
High signal-to-noise ratio, higher dynamic
range
Risk of intermodulation, smaller overdrive
reserve

2.3.6
Internal Fading
Access: "Config" hotkey > "Internal Fading" section.
This node is only visible, if a fading scenario is selected.
For general prerequisites/required options and background information, see
Figure 2-25: Internal fading settings
2.3.6.1
Fading Simulator
Access: "Config" hotkey > "Internal Fading" node > "Fading Simulator (Extended)" sec-
tion.
The node enables and sets up the fading simulator. For background information, see
Chapter 2.2.3.1, "Fading Simulator"
Only extended fading is supported. Standard fading is no longer relevant.
