User-Defined Band Definition
Configures your own operating band. Enabling user-defined band sets also operating
band to "User Defined", see
Operating Band, Channel, Frequency
To configure the DL and UL frequencies, specify first a UL/DL separation and downlink
minimum frequency value. Set the frequency range indirectly via minimum and maxi-
mum channel numbers. The related UL frequency range is calculated automatically.
Set the UL minimum channel to define channel numbering in uplink.
The band indicator is configurable. The supported channel spacing is fixed (100 kHz).

2.3.5.3
Expected Uplink Power
Access: "Config" hotkey > "RF Settings" > "RF Power Uplink" section.
The following parameters configure the expected uplink power.
Figure 2-24: RF uplink power settings
Exp. Nominal Power..., Margin
These parameters configure the expected UL power. Two modes are available:
●
"According to UL Power Control Settings"
The UL power is calculated automatically from the UL power control settings. The
resulting expected nominal power is displayed for information. The displayed refer-
ence level is calculated as:
Reference Level = Expected Nominal Power + 12 dB Margin
For UL power control settings, see
Chapter 2.3.8, "Uplink Power Control"
●
"Manual"
In manual mode, the expected nominal power and a margin can be defined man-
ually. The displayed reference level is calculated as:
Reference Level = Expected Nominal Power + Margin
The margin is used to account for the known variations (crest factor) of the RF input
signal power.
Note:
The actual input power at the connectors must be within the level range of the
selected RF input connector; refer to the data sheet. If all power settings are config-
ured correctly, the actual power equals the "Reference Level" minus the "External
Attenuation (Input)" value.
