NPUSCH trigger, format 1/2
Trigger event at the beginning of the first UL slot of each NPUSCH transmission with
format 1/2.
There are two trigger signals, one for transmissions with NPUSCH format 1 and the
other one for transmissions with NPUSCH format 2.
The signals can be used to trigger NB-IoT multi-evaluation measurements (option
R&S CMW-KM300).
For combined signal path measurements, the signaling application sets the trigger
source of the multi-evaluation measurement as follows:

If the configured scheduling includes a UL, the NPUSCH format 1 trigger signal is
selected.
●
If the configured scheduling comprises only a DL, the NPUSCH format 2 trigger
signal is selected.
You can modify the trigger source selection in the measurement, so that you can mea-
sure NPUSCH format 1 and 2 for schedulings with UL and DL.
NPRACH trigger
Trigger event for each received NPRACH preamble. When a preamble has been suc-
cessfully received and detected by the signaling application, a trigger signal is gener-
ated 10 ms after the start of the preamble.
The NPRACH trigger signal can be used to trigger NB-IoT "NPRACH" measurements
(option R&S CMW-KM300). When the measurement receives a trigger event, it evalu-
ates already measured data to provide results for the preamble.

Cell Reselection Setup
The following example explains, how to configure network for cell reselection mecha-
nism:
1. Configure basic parameters of NB-IoT serving cell and NB-IoT target reselection
cell:
a) Select output path for NB-IoT signaling application, in this example "NB-IoT
Sig1" providing serving cell, see
b) Select different output path for another NB-IoT signaling application, in this
example "NB-IoT Sig2" providing target cell. Use different TX modules for the
two applications.
c) Set appropriate attenuation for "NB-IoT Sig1" and "NB-IoT Sig2", see
d) Specify different TACs for "NB-IoT Sig1" and "NB-IoT Sig2":
