Install and Operate the Junction Boxes
Chapter 4
Box ID Functionality
If you have a second generation MobileView terminal with Box ID functionality,
then you can set an ID number on an IP65 junction box. With an ID number,
only settings specific to that application are available on the MobileView
terminal, especially where one MobileView terminal with Box ID functionality is
used between multiple IP65 junction boxes in various locations. Use the two
hexadecimal rotary switches to set Box IDs from 0 to 255 as hexadecimal values.
To use Box ID functionality with FactoryTalk® View ME software, access the
Rockwell Automation Knowledgebase link at
https://rockwellautomation.custhelp.com/
and search for AID 1043633.
Illuminated E-stop Button Brightness
You can use a button on the IP65 junction box terminal to
adjust the illuminated E-stop push button on a second
generation MobileView terminal.
Available brightness levels are 95% (factory setting), 50%, 25%, and 12.5%. Each
press of the button moves to the next brightness level. After you reach 12.5%
brightness, the next press cycles back to 95%.
The set brightness level is maintained, even after a power loss.
ATTENTION:
Instructions are included in AID 1043633 to first download
ActiveX control for second generation MobileView terminals with firmware
versions before 9.0.
ActiveX control is already included in MobileView firmware versions 9.0 or later.

WARNING:
To adjust the brightness, power must be applied to the IP65
junction box, and a second generation MobileView terminal must be connected
to the junction box.
To avoid ESD damage to the junction box and to avoid electrical shock to the
adjuster, only qualified personnel should perform this adjustment.
IMPORTANT
Only adjust the brightness level of the illuminated E-stop button if it is
appropriate for the environment where the second generation MobileView
terminal is being used. Too low of a brightness setting can be difficult to see or
can be misinterpreted.
