Chapter 4

        Replace System Components

Required Tools

Use a #2 Phillips screwdriver for all screws. Using the wrong size tool 
may cause damage to the screw head.

Remove the Back Cover

To maintain, install, or upgrade computer components, you must first 
remove the cover.

Follow these steps to remove the back cover.

1.

Disconnect power from the computer. 

2.

Remove the screws that secure the back cover.

3.

Lift the cover from the chassis.

4.

To reinstall the back cover, position the back cover over the 
chassis and fasten with the screws.

ATTENTION

Failure to follow proper safety precautions could result in 
severe electrical shock and/or damage to the computer.
