6 Special operations

Checks

FD utilities

This option allows for formatting a diskette and cleaning the disk drive.

To use FD utilities

Press <Tools> on the [Menu] screen. The [Tools] screen appears.

Press <FD Utilities>. The [FD Utilities] screen appears.

Press <Format FD>. The [FD Format] window appears.

Insert a 1.44 MB diskette into the diskette drive.

Press <Execute> to format the diskette.

When formatting is completed, remove the diskette from the diskette
drive.

If the diskette drive needs to be cleaned, contact Technical Support.
