Cleaning the Glucotrend
®

•
If your GLUCOTREND 2 is on, switch it off.
•
Gently wipe across test strip guide using a damp non-linting cotton
cloth to remove any traces of blood. Then using your thumb to lift it
gently along its bottom edge, remove the test strip guide carefully.
•
Clean the removed test strip guide with cold water and allow it to
dry completely.
•
Gently clean the exposed measuring window with a non-linting
cotton cloth or cotton bud.
•
Check carefully that test strip guide is completely dry, then re-
insert.
•
After cleaning, check the function of your meter using
GLUCOTREND Plus Control G.
Changing the batteries
•
Switch your GLUCOTREND 2 meter OFF.
•
Gently press the battery compartment cover upwards with a thumb
to open it, and then fold the cover on its hinges towards you. Do
not try to remove battery cover completely.
•
You can now see the twin battery holders. Insert one battery into
each holder, with + upwards.
•
Replace the battery compartment lid back over the batteries and
press gently inwards to close it again.
•
Press the ON key to check that the batteries are inserted properly.
