7.8 Intended Audience for Operating Instructions
These instructions contain the information needed to use the appliance they
describe correctly.
The instructions are written exclusively for technically qualified personnel. Qualified
personnel in this context are:

Personnel who can prove that they are qualified to use this appliance either
through training or experience,
▪ Personnel who are familiar with the appliance’s safety concepts,
▪
Maintenance and service personnel who are specially trained to repair the
appliance.
Only personnel who are in a position to read and understand these instructions
should work with this appliance. They should sign to indicate that they have read
and understood the instructions above. Installation, maintenance and operation of
the appliance should only occur where valid safety and operational regulations of
the appropriate rail or operation-specific authority have been considered and are
strictly followed for its use and safety. This is especially relevant where regulations
relate to safety and protection of the workplace and environment as well as the
operating, maintenance and safety regulations or other instructions supplied by the
manufacturer or supplier.
7.9 Accident Prevention
The legal regulations and accident prevention measures that apply to the relevant
area of operation must be observed. If they are not observed the operator of the
appliance is responsible for any legal consequences.

Observe general and operation-specific accident prevention regulations at all
times.
•
Familiarize yourself with
potential dangers relating to the appliance’s specific
area of activity and obtain a copy of the corresponding instructions.

Before setting up the machine, check that it is in working order:

Completeness and soundness of fittings, temporary devices, tools,
accessories, safety devices etc;
−
Inspections and maintenance are carried out competently and at the
appropriate times.

Agents required for operation (fuel, lubricant etc) are kept topped-up;
−
All requirements for accident-free use for you and other persons, as well as
for property and the environment are fulfilled.
