13. Cowl and canopy
Slide the canopy locating lugs into the correspon-
ding slot in the motor bulkhead. The canopy is se-
cured on the fuselage by magnets.
Glue the two dummy exhausts to the cowl using cy-
ano, then check that the cowl is a snug fit on the fu-
selage, without distortion or strain. Temporarily tape
the cowl to the fuselage in the correct position. Drill
1.5 mm ∅ holes through the cowl and fuselage for
the retaining screws, then fix the cowl in place using
the four PWA 2.3 x 8 mm screws. Take care not to
over-tighten the screws!
14. Centre of Gravity
The ideal Centre of Gravity is located 72 - 73 mm
aft of the wing leading edge, measured adjacent to
the fuselage. It is essential to check the C.G. before
flying the model for the first time; it can be corrected
by adjusting the position of the flight battery.
15. Control surface travels
If you need to adjust the control surface travels, re-
connect the pushrod further in or out in the servo
output arm. You can also use your transmitter's ser-
vo travel adjustment facility.
