Setting Detailed Operational Parameters Using the SDM-PC2 Docking Station PC
NOTE:
These parameters do not need to be edited in order for the SDM-6000
to function properly. These parameters allow you to edit features or
initiate certain operations that cannot be accessed using the
SDM-6000’s Config Menu.
Launching the PC Controller Program and
Connecting an SDM-6000
1. Click
Start
on the Windows Icon Tray, then select
Programs/SDM-PC2
. You
may also double click the shortcut created on your desktop. The SDM-PC2
Docking Station PC Controller Program is launched and the main program
window appears.

2. If you are starting the software for the first time, a message window appears
informing you that a database has been created. Click
OK
in that window.
3. Connect the AC adapter to the SDM-6000 and to an AC wall socket. If you
have a multi-station system, only the leftmost SDM-6000 should be connected
to power.
4. Connect a Type A to Type B USB cable to the SDM-6000 and to an available
USB port on your computer. If you have a multi-station system, only the
leftmost SDM-6000 should be connected to the computer with the USB cable.
5 . Flip the SDM-6000’s power switch so that it’s in the ON position. If you have a
multi-station system, only the power switch of the leftmost SDM-6000 needs to
be flipped.
