APPLICATION(S):
2008-11 FX-SHO, FX-HO (1.8L) / 2011-2013 VXR & VXS / 2004-08 FX-HO & FX140
INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
1. Carefully remove all parts from the package and check against packing list. Read through the instructions sheet
before attempting installation to familiarize yourself with the parts and installation Procedure.
2. Using a 12mm socket wrench remove the five 6mm bolts holding each O.E. sponson in place
.

3. None of the removed parts and hardware will be used for your new installation so box it up and store.
4. Locate the right side backing plate and apply a thin coat of marine silicone sealant or epoxy to the back side (side
attaching to the hull). Make sure that the backing plate is sealed all the way around to avoid water intrusion
5. Apply medium strength Loc-tite to the supplied 6mm cap (Allen) screws and attach the backing plate to the hull
using the last three holes toward the rear of the hull. Tighten bolts in a uniform pattern and wipe away any excess
sealant or epoxy.
Note:
Apply
medium strength Loc-tite.
6. Locate the right side fin and install using the Supplied 6 X 25 screws and washers.
7. Our
recommended fin position is all the way down with the screws in the top holes. The fin can however be
adjusted to suit your individual riding style and weight.
8. With supplied Nylon push plugs (see illustration #2) apply silicone to the remaining two holes and push plugs.
Insert plugs into holes and wipe away access silicone.
9. Proceed with the left side installation as above. Please allow the recommended time for the sealant or epoxy to
dry.
10. Your installation is now complete.

RIVA Pro-Series Sponson Kits carry a 30-day limited warranty to the original purchaser. They are warranted to be free of defects in materials and
workmanship under normal use and service. Customer modified components will be void of warranty. This warranty is limited to defects in the
primary components only. Finish and/or wear marks in or on primary components are not covered under this warranty.
RIVA Racing’s liability is expressly limited to the repair or replacement of the components contained within or associated with this kit. RIVA Racing
agrees to repair or at RIVA’s option, replace any defective unit without charge, if product is returned to RIVA Racing freight prepaid within the
warranty period. Any equipment returned which, in RIVA’s opinion, has been subjected to misuse, abuse, overheating or accident shall not be
covered by this warranty.
RIVA Racing shall have no liability for special, incidental or consequential damages or injury to persons or property from any cause arising from the
sale, installation or use of this product.
No other warranty, express or implied, including, but not limited to the implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose,
applies. Various states do not allow for the limitation of incidental or consequential damages and therefore the above exclusion or limitation may
not apply to you.
Warranty does not include the expenses related to freight or transportation of parts or compensation for any inconvenience or loss of use while
being repaired. A copy of the original invoice must accompany all warranty claims. Warranted replacement parts will be returned freight collect.
